Landing On The Right Name
Talk Shop came to us with a name they were functionally using but that they admittedly felt was “too boring.” Through collaborative conversation, we compiled a list of companies in their industry that they admired. We found that they were particularly drawn to companies that portrayed an upbeat tone with clever word play while maintaining an air of clinical excellence. From there, we brainstormed potential names, putting together a list with a range of styles within the scope of their intended tone. Ultimately, they landed on Talk Shop – playful, metaphorical, short, and sweet!
Creating Their Look
As part of our efforts developing messaging, we worked to uncover the brand personality and voice that they were envisioning. Through thoughtful dialogue and a series of discovery exercises, we honed in on a tone that balanced clinical excellence with playfulness and accessibility. This discussion informed the early stages of logo development as we put together a collection of drafts in different fonts and treatments.
Once the wordmark was selected, we added color, working to narrow down the palette to the right combination. Their selection ultimately incorporated a teal-blue hue, a color often used in the healthcare industry, with fun orange accents that are upbeat, bright, and convey that sense of play.


Talking The Talk
Overall strategic messaging is a process that helps define and develop the foundational language for a business. As a new business, Talk Shop required the full messaging suite – from mission statement all the way to key headlines. Through this iterative process, we were able to capture the spirit of accessibility, clinical excellence, and fun into the language of their business. It was important that we carry on the upbeat tone established in their visuals while underscoring the truly life-changing impact of their work. Much of this messaging found a home on their Fuzzy Duck-designed website.

Bringing It All Together
When it came to their website, we needed to establish a clear, easy-to-use digital home for their business and its clients. Creating the best, most true-to-life experience for this industry required research into the field of myofunctional and speech therapy to accurately represent the business. Ultimately, the site is clean, informative, and friendly. Fuzzy Duck also assisted the Talk Shop team in gathering testimonials for incorporation into the site – always a value asset!
